A drain field is used to remove contaminants and impurities from the liquid that emerges from the septic tank.
Should I have a filter?
Filters weren’t required prior to 1998. If your home was built after 1998, your septic tank should have a filter. Your filter should be cleaned every time you get your septic tanked pumped out.
